A collaborative project of thirteen Connecticut school districts, Central Connecticut State University, and the Connecticut Historical Society Museum, American Voices seeks to improve student learning in American history in grades 4-8.
Our goal is to help teachers bring history alive by making connections to local history, integrating history with literacy, and encouraging student inquiry using historical sources and artifacts. This three-year project is funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Teaching American History grant program.
